YAESU FT-450 HF/50MHZ TRANSCEIVER TECHNICAL SUPPLEMENT (SERVICE MANUAL)
(70 pages EH024H90A 2007)
This manual provides technical information necessary for servicing the FT-450 HF/50 MHz Transceiver.
Two PCB layout diagrams are provided for each doublesided circuit board in the Transceiver. Each side of is referred to by the type of the majority of components installed on that side (“leaded” or “chip-only”). In most cases one side has only chip components, and the other has either a mixture of both chip and leaded components (trimmers, coils, electrolytic capacitors, ICs, etc.), or leaded components only.

YAESU FT-450 CAT (COMPUTER AIDED TRANSCEIVER) OPERATION REFERENCE BOOK
(16 pages)
The CAT (Computer Aided Transceiver) System in the FT-450 provides control of frequency, VFO, memory, and other settings such as dual-channel memories and diversity reception using an external personal computer. This allows multiple control operations to be fully automated as single mouse clicks or keystroke operations on the computer keyboard.
The FT-450 has a built-in level converter, allowing direct connection from the rear-panel CAT jack to the serial port of your computer without the need of any external boxes. You will need a serial cable for connection to the RS-232C (serial or COM port) connector on your computer.
CONTENTS:
– Overview
– CAT Jack (pinout)
– Control Command
– Alphabetical Commands
– Parameters
